The RNIHA hosted the Bracknell B-52s at Oxford Ice Rink on 17 Jan 10 in a return match following the senior service's 4-0 shut-out of the B-52s last October. The navy would dress a strong 'A' side to take on the well-established B-52s with 2 full navy representative side lines supporting a developmental line. The game at Oxford would be in sharp contrast to the low scoring defensive affair a couple of months ago in Bracknell, with 22 goals scored compared to the 4 in the Autumn. Not surprisingly, the RN played well offensively and managed to get 12 goals passed the opposition in the 12-8 win. Despite faltering somewhat in the second period, when the B-52s took advantage of the navy's lackadaisical defensive play to reduce a 5-goal deficit to one, the navy side managed to keep the B-52s at bay for most of the game, put on a good show with the final result a true reflection of the match.
